Usability services

The services provided within the Ominor:Usability^TM department can be split are as follows:

• Expert website evaluation - We will analyse your website using a combination of industry recognised series of evaluation criteria and our own experience, eliminating the majority of its usability problems.
• Competitor analysis - As a supplement to our expert analysis of your website we can perform a similar (but briefer) analysis on competitors' websites specified by you, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.
• Information architecture development - We will use recognised techniques (card sorts, user journeys, personas, etc) in combination with future customers from your target market to create an information architecture structure that will make sense to your customers, and aid their passage throughout the site.
• User testing - We will carry out full user testing (using users from our extensive database) upon a prototype or existing website, this will be supported by our testing facilities and software.
• User research - We will gather the information you need to create the optimal web experience for your users. We will use techniques including interviews, field studies and card sorting.
• Interaction design - Using specialised techniques (such as wire frames and prototyping) we will bring end users, and their needs, into the design lifecycle, allowing them to have a much greater influence upon the final design of a product (it's functions and processes).
• Usability consultancy - Contracted work to a new or existing project utilising the experience of one of our consultants.
