Bupa is a global health and care organisation.

The Bupa Shop builds on Bupa's expertise in healthcare, forged over 60 years of running and working with hospitals, care homes, health centres and dentists.

All products have been carefully assessed by Bupa's medical team, and have been selected in consultation with doctors, nurses, care home managers, physiotherapists and other health experts; to offer products that can be trusted and promote fitness and vitality.
Objective
As one of the worlds most recognised brands Bupa required a long term E-Commerce partner who could support their crucial move into selling direct to consumers via the web.

The online proposition needed to support the sale of a range of healthcare related products backed up by recommendations from a panel of experts, supporting Bupa's well-respected position of integrity and responsibility in the market.

The aim of the initial project was to launch a fully integrated E-Commerce offering including discounts and promotions which could be used as the foundation for online growth for Bupa.
Solution
Ominor were selected by Bupa following a detailed request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) process to provide our E-Commerce Framework fully integrated with both the Bupa preferred online payment service provider PSL and fulfillment partner Emery.

Using the proven E-Commerce delivery model Ominor Methodology we were able to profile potential users of the web site and create automated scripts in a test driven approach to support the detailed acceptance criteria Bupa laid down as a business.

The E-Commerce Framework was delivered on-time and on-budget with independent verification of both PCI compliance and extensive third-party security testing provided by industry experts MWR, supporting Bupa's internal governance process.
